We had a very successful first day of the Dublin indoor champs . The 200m races were first off this morning . Martha had a very good day finishing 4th in the 200m final with the fastest 6 times over 7 heats progressing to the final. Alice just missed out on a final place.
Aimee Ryan came a very good 3rd in an equally competitive 200m final under 17. Niamh ran very well in the under 18 200m but missed out on a final
Spot.
Rion and Ellen made their debut over the hurdles under 13. Rion won her heat by a huge margin and unfortunately hit a hurdle in the final which surely cost her a medal. Ellen ran well in her heat but didnโt make the final (next time)!
Maisy ran a brave race in her first ever hurdles race in the under 15 , missed out on a final place this year but can only get better for the next race.
Star of the day was Martha who followed up her 4th in the 200 with a brilliant win in the hurdles under 16.
We finished off the day with another medal with Alice jumping her way to bronze in the under 16 long jump!
