This weekend Nationals in Athlone wrapped up the indoor season for 2024. At the relay championships two weeks ago our under 17 team of Martha, Alice, Aimee and Goda improved on their Dublin time but missed out on a final place. The under 15 team of Pearl, Maggie, Maisy and Jessica ran well but also didnโt make the top six for a final place .
Our best individual performance came from Martha in the under 16 60m flat and 60m hurdles. Martha made the final in both races and did pbโs in the heats of both races. She was unfortunate to stumble on landing from the last hurdle in the final which surely cost her another personal best.
Niamh and Aimee competed in the 200 and 400 under 18 and 17, Aoife was in the pole vault under 17, Alice did the long jump and got a pb in the triple jump under 16. Lily ran in the 800 under 19 and Max got a pb in the shot under 13.
Everyone did their best on the day and thatโs all you can do. Thank you to the parents who did the driving and for the support. Onwards and upwards to the outdoor season.
