Dublin community games trackAnd field were held in Santry last Sunday. Our club athletes were out in force on Sunday.
Rachel and Jack ran in the under 10 hurdles, Hector and Canice ran 100m under 12, Edward did the 200 and Evie the 600m. The three lads were on the relay which came 3rd. Aimee did the ball throw under 12. Aisling came 3rd in the long jump.
Juliette and Ellen were on the mixed under 13 relay.
In the under 14 age group Max won the shot putt and Conor was 3rd, Maggie was 2nd and Robin 4th in the 100m, Pearl 2nd and Jessica 3rd in the 800, Eoin 3rd in the hurdles, Freya 2nd in long jump and Ellen 3rd. Under 14Girls relay team of Maggie,Amelia. Pearl and Jessica came first.
In the under 16 races Martha won the 100 and Aimee 2nd, Alice was 2nd in the 200, Erin and Aoibhinn were 2nd and 3rd in the 1500m, Bruce was 3rd in the 200, Hugh was 3rd in the 1500 and Senan was 4th. Martha, Alice and Aimee Bruce and Hugh were on the winning relay teams under 16.
Maisy and Saoirse were on the mixed under 15 relay team which came 4th.
Hard luck for Martha and Aimee’s team on Sat at the all Ireland schools relay in
Tullamore. Unfortunately the first handover didn’t work out and they over ran the zone. Live to fight another day!
Thank you to all the parents who brought the children out to Santry on Sunday. Thank you to St Brigid’s GAA club for helping with long puck competitors and to MSB for athletes.
Emer put in a lot of hours getting teams out , with help from Catherine, Loretta and Edel. Well done to all and sorry if we missed anyone.
