League 1 update
Over 20 of our young athletes enjoyed a fine day of athletics in Tallaght yesterday. Huge numbers in all the races and the lovely sunny morning added to the occasion. Great experience gained for everyone trying out different events. Standout performers were Juliette in her 600, Martha in her high jump and 400 and Freya in her 1500. League 2 will be on Sat 11th May in Tallaght.
Well done to everyone and thank you to
all the parents who brought their children out and supported them.

On Wednesday Martha was 4th in the sprint hurdles final, Maisy made her first schools hurdles final, Jessica was 2nd in the 500m, Aimee was 3rd in the 300m, Goda was 3rd in the 1500m, Cliodhna was 3rd in her 1500m, Erin was 3rd in the mile and Aoibhinn was 4th, Caroline just missed out on 3rd in the 1100m with Emma in 7th place. Abigail did the 1500 on Wednesday.
In the relays the minor team of Maisy, Pearl, Saoirse and Jessica from Dominic’s finished a very good 2nd in their final. Dominics under 16 relay team of Erin, Aoibhinn, Danielle and Martha were very impressive winners of their relay.
On Friday Cliodhna and Abigail ran the 3000m with Cliodhna finishing 4th in the senior race. In the 200m races Aimee finished 2nd in the under 16 final. Pearl was 6th in the minor 800 with Saoirse not too far behind. Goda finished 5th in her 800.
Performance of the day was the brilliant win by the inter relay team from Dominic’s led off by Martha followed by Danielle and
Aimee who passed the baton with a huge lead to Dominic’s last leg runner Chidinma from MSB. Two great days of races from our athletes. Thank you to the parents and grandparents who gave up their time to drive the athletes out and supported over the two days.
