What a day!!! Sunday in Abbottstown was one of those days you dream about. Amazing Irish crowd going stir crazy in support of our Irish athletes but also supporting the many athletes from all over Europe and in particular the world superstar that is Jacob ingerbriston . He clearly has a lot of Irish fans!
Well done to Jody and Lauren who proudly represented the Ireland under 23 team. We also had Goda on duty as part of the medal presentation team. She was lucky to get up close to
Jacob Ingerbriston as she wad one of the medal carriers for the senior men’s race. Cliodhna Ryan carried one of the country flags during the opening ceremony/parade. A great experience for both.
We had many volunteers up there doing a great job to help make this event one of the best European cross country championships ever.
Thank you to the parents who brought so many of our younger athletes up to Abbottstown to see world class athletes live right here on our doorstep. Great to see all the young people charging all around the course to get the best view, A day to remember!! Well done everyone
