On Thursday last Sean Donoghue had a very good run in the heats of the 1500m at the European juniors in Estonia. He got trapped on the inside for much of the race and did well to get himself out of trouble but ran out of energy in the home straight. He ran his 2nd best time but was outside the qualification for the final. Sean will have a short break and Covid permitting he will be off on an athletic scholarship to Villanova university.

On Friday night in Santry Clare Murphy returned to competition with a solid run in the 400m at the Dublin juvenile championship. We had Ellen, Hector, Juliette, Alexandria and Greta in the 500m under 10. All raced well on their first time on the track in such a long time.

On Saturday in Santry Craig won the long jump
Under 19, Robin won the 600m under 11 in her first ever race on the track and her first outing for the club. Great running Robin! Very impressive running from Amelia, Juliette and Eoin in their heats.

Well done to all.

Well done to Bruce on winning the shot putt under 13 at the Dublin championships in Lucan this morning. Seems a long time since he won the under 12 indoors in 2020 just before the first lockdown but he hasn’t lost his touch. Pearl and Jessica competed in the 60m under 12.
