Day 1 of the Leinster schools was held today in Tullamore. Erin was first on the track and ran a pb in the junior 800m. Aimee and Alice finished 5th and 6th in the junior 200m. Aoibhinn had a very good run in the 1500m making up 4 places in the last 100m. Goda ran very well finishing 3rd in the under 16 mile.

The junior sprint relay team from St Dominic’s defended their Leinster title winning the gold medal in a very close finish. Well done to Martha, Danielle, Erin and Aimee. The under 16 relay team from st Dominic’s finished 3rd in their race. Well done to Max, Aoibhinn, Aimee and Goda. 👏👏

Huge congrats to Sean Donoghue who won the Big East 1500 in 3:44.90 – a huge achievement!

Sean’s team also won the 4 x800 m relay, breaking a record that stood for 36 years!

Sat 13th May Dunboyne track9.30 athletes preparing for the Dublin championships on 28th April.

We had a marathon programme of races in Tallaght for league 2 last Sunday. Our most prominent athletes on the day were Rion (shot),Alice, Martha, Aimee (sprints), Goda, Pearl , Erin, Aoibhinn (800m). Much improved racing from Lelia and Megan. Good competition experience gained by all the others. Well done to all. Results are on earlier post.
