Well done to Rion and Lucas on their 3rd places at the primary school sports during the week in Santry. Also to Rions relay team which were gold medal Winners in their section. Hector won the high jump in his section. 👏👏
Niamh Bergin came 3rd in the Dublin Senior 400m in Tallaght on Wednesday night. 👏👏
In Santry today we had day I of the Dublin championship with the 800m, long hurdles and 3k races.
Juliette, Freya, Emma, Amelia all ran pbs in their 800m with Juliette and Freya making their finals. Abigail, Cara and Lucas Lennon ran well in their 600 and 800 races, Aisling jumped well in the under 13 high jump.
Star of the day was Max who won his shot under 14 with a new pb. Great stuff Max! Rion was 5th in the high jump after doing her hurdle session this morning. Lauren hurt her knee during the week and unfortunately had to with draw from her race today. Maisy went off a bit slow today on her long hurdles and was coming through very well at the end just missing out on a final spot.
Daire could have found his event with a solid first outing over 3k on the track. Isiah got a bit left in his 3k after the first 2 laps and finished with a lot left in the tank. Lots of lessons learned today and well done to all.

A good few of our athletes didn’t enter this weekend which is disappointing. Coaches have put in the hard work and they like to see the young athletes compete and represent their club.
Closing dates for the day 2/3/4 is June 1st.
