Results update
Yesterday in Abbottstown the uneven age Dublinโs were held in ideal conditions. Our top finisher on the day was Lucas in the under 15 boys race with a fantastic 3rd place overall. Great run ( up an age group) and great experience in advance of his Nationals under 14 in Derry in two weeks.Darragh was 4th in the boys under 11 and earns his spot on the Dublin team for the Nationals in Abbottstown in December.
Caroline made a big breakthrough yesterday getting her first Dublin individual medal finishing 11th in the under 17 girls race (up an age group). Well done Caroline.
Holly and Ava ran well in the under 11 girls, Callum had a great run in his first race with Stanley, Hughie and Fionn all finishing well.
Unfortunately we had no team
In the under 13 girls race but Louise , Sian and Ellie all ran well. Hard luck
on Louise who ran a great race and just missed out on a medal in 13th place in a messy finish.
The girls under 15 was probably most competitive race of the day. Amelia, Emma, Lauren and Juliette all battled well, Freya unfortunately pulled out as she was not well.
Saoirse, Jessica, Lama and Abigail all finished well in the under 17 race, unfortunately Megan wasnโt well and was a big loss to the team. Well done to Lama who wasnโt feeling great but managed to finish a very tough course.
A long day in Abbottstown but it got done! Thank you to all who represented the club on the day.
Entries close at midnight tonight for the final league race of 2025 . Very manageable distances for anyone whoโs training and good race practice.
Training /competition this week
Sat 8th Nov Sprints group Dunboyne 9.30. No formal meeting for middle distance group today. Make own arrangements if not racing this weekend.
Sun 9th Nov races in Abbottstown today. Final timetable and details will be uploaded later. Order of events unlikely to change but there might be timetable change. Please car pool if possible and leave as soon as possible after your event. We are very tight on car parking.
Training for sprints group today meeting at HITW at 11. No training for younger group today .
