Well done to everyone who competed for the club yesterday in Abbottstown. Team of the day was our under 12 girls led in by Jessica Ryan with the run of the day in a superb 3rd place. Great back up from Amelia, Saoirse, Pearl, Robin and Juliette. The team finished in 2nd place overall.
In the under 10 girls Juliette Delaney finished in 10th place and her team of Rion, Alexandria, Kasiana, Aisling and Aoife just missed out on team medals.
The girls under 14 team finished 3rd led in by Goda in 4th place. The girls had a very tough outing over 3k but they all worked hard and fought for every place. Well done to Goda, Aoibhinn, Erin, Aimee, Aoibhinn and Jocelyn. Finn finished in the top 20 in the boys race and with a bit of training could be a top cross country runner.
In the under 18 girls race over 4K Cliodhna Ryan finished 5th, Clare o Connor 10th, Aisling Keenan 15th. Christopher McLaughlin was a warrior in the boys 6k under 18 and looked like he could have gone on for another 6k. Great running from all our under 18s . You have to be tough to do those distances.
Canice, Edward and Matthew had good runs in the under 10 boys race, Daire, Eoin and Cillian got a nice run out over 2k under 12. Well done to everyone and thank you to all who supported. Next races for everyone will be 28th Nov league 3.
We will be entering a few teams in the uneven age championship on 31st Oct and the under 12 and 14 girls teams will be running in the Nationals in Abbottstown on Nov 21st.
