Day 1 of North Leinsters was on 6th May in Santry.Lucas Cahill was our only club athlete in action in the minor age group and he ran a very good race finishing 2nd in the 1100m.
Juliette ran well in the junior 1500m finishing in the top six. Ellen had a great run in the hurdles heat finishing first, was going well in the final when she unfortunately hit a hurdle and fell heavily. Hard luck Ellen ! Cut and bruised but was out on Sat to Dunboyne for training💪💪.
In the under 16 mile Saoirse finished 5th with Emma not too far behind in 7th place. In the under 16 relay Jessica, Maisy , Emma and Saoirse were impressive winners.
Danielle won her inter 100m heat and finished 3rd in the final. Maisy had a great run in the 300m hurdles coming through strongly in the last 50m to finish 3rd. Well deserved medal for a hard working athlete. Jessica came 7th in a very high standard inter 800m. Caroline had her first outing over 3k on the track and ran a solid race finishing 4th in her age group.
In the senior races Martha showed the result of regular training with a great win in the hurdles and 5th place in the 100m final. Aimee led off the Dominic’s senior relay team to a fine win with Martha and Erin from the club on the team.
