Dublin championships update

We finally got the results from the Dublin championships in Abbottstown this evening. Our under 12 girls finished a fine 2nd led in by Goda in 4th place. Erin, Jocelyn, Aoibhinn, Aimee Ryan and Aimee Corcoran packed really well over a tough 2000m race. None of the team had raced over that distance before . Great running girls and now they have Nationals on the same course to look forward to on the 24th of November.

Our under 16 girls raced over 4000m and did well to finish 3rd team with two of the team aged under 15. Caolan Collins was 4th and Cliodhna Ryan 7th both up an age group, Clare o Connor and Jana Moheiden completed the team. A tough task for the girls and they all did great.

Joe Fogarty came through strongly to finish 7th in the boys under 16, Celine Gavin had the best run of her life finishing an impressive 4th in the under 18 girls race. Sean didn’t have the best of days in his under 18 boys race, Jody had a great run finishing 2nd in the junior womens race , Dora wasn’t feeling great in her junior race but still managed to finish strongly.
In the senior races Pierre continues his return to top class cross country competition coming 13th in the men’s race, Edel Monaghan had a good return to racing in the senior women’s race. Deirdre finished 3rd in her age group in the Masters race and Fiona finished 6th her age group. Well done to all and a big thank you for all the support on Sunday.
