Results update

The 2nd event of the juvenile summer season was held in Tallaght today with huge numbers in most events. Well done to our small group who represented the club today and thank you to the parents who brought them and supported. The coaches appreciate your support.
We had 3 winners today, Hector high jump, Rion 80m and Sean 100m. 👏👏

Over the many sprint heats throughout the day , Lauren came 5th, Rachel 5th, Fionn 6th, Aisling 7th, Aimee 8th, Lucas 7th, Aoibhin 2nd. Rion 7th high jump, Ellen 10th.
In the middle distance races Freya got a pb in the under 15 race and great to see 5 girls represent us in the under 15 800m today. Well done to Emma, Amelia, Lauren and Maria . All have proper times to work on now .
Disappointing to see only one of our under 16 athletes race today but well done to Daire who ran well in a very competitive under 16 boys race.

During the week Lucas came 1st in the Ringsend schools cross country race as Aisling finished in the top 20 in her race.
Juliette won the 800m in the CETB minor race in Santry on Friday.

Sat 10th May Dunboyne track 9.30 sharp sprint’s group and older middle distance group. Good luck to the younger athletes competing today in Tallaght.

Sun 11th May Hole in the wall meet at 11am everyone

Tue 13th May Hole in the wall 7pm everyone

Thur 15th May 5pm group meet at HITW. Everyone else HITW at 7

Best of luck to all competing at the graded meeting in Santry and the Leinster schools in Tullamore.

Round 2 of the juvenile track and field competitions are being held in Tallaght next Sat. Timetable and entry link on earlier post. These are competitions for beginners and improvers. Entry closes on Sunday night .

Please note ( for our younger athletes in particular) minimum two sessions a week is recommended for any progression to happen. Our Thur night session is currently very quiet and that’s where we do our throwing practice.

More schools results

On Tuesday and Thursday we had athletes in action at the West Leinster schools. Sean had a great run in the junior 100m coming 3rd, Alice came 2nd in her triple jump, Oscar came 5th in the mile under 16, Megan and Amelia were 6th in the inter and junior 800m.
Aoife Marron came first in the inter pole vault and equalled her pb!!👏👏
