The 400m races got Saturday off to a start at 10am and we had Caoimhe Lynam in action. She ran a solid heat and later on in the afternoon ran a great final finishing 2nd despite having a niggly injury for the past few weeks which curtailed her training. The 1500m races were next and Sara Byrne ran really well finishing 4th, Sean Donoghue was an easy winner of the under 16 boys race, Dora was a very good third in the under 17 race with Emily Murphy coming along nicely, Abbey Corr was our athlete of the morning as she fought for a fine silver medal in the under 18 race, Daire Finn like Sean strolled to a win in the under 19 boys race and Sara Jane Brennan was 4th in the under 19 girls race.
Meanwhile Emily Corcoran was winning the high jump under 17 with another 1m60cm clearance. Our sprinters were next into action and little Aimee Ryan was the coolest head on the start line and she flew up the track in her 60m final under 10 taking the silver medal. Antonia and Aointonette both made the semi finals of their 60m, Chloe Corcoran got a bronze under 17 and Alison Burke a silver in the under 18 sprint. Caolfionn Mc Ginley was 4th in her heat of the 60m in her first race in a long time.
In the high jump under 12 Niamh O Connor showed great style and confidence as she sailed over the bar for her first Dublin medal coming 2nd . Well done to all our Saturday competitors.

AAI Games update
We had a second day of competition today in the new indoor stadium in Abbott’stown. First out on track was Emily Corcoran in the high jump where she once again cleared 1m60cm. Catherine McManus was up next in the 60m where she managed a seasons best followed soon after with a 2nd place in the hurdles. Despite carrying fatigue from three events yesterday and 2 today Catherine managed a pb indoors in the 200m where she finished a fine 2nd. Hopefully she is planning a rest day tomorrow 😁Daire Finn got himself a pb in the 800m, Alison Armstrong ran very well in her 1500m and got a pb. Evan was unfortunately seeded in the wrong race for his 1500m and was left on his own for most of his race which is very hard but he battled all the way.
