Great Ireland Run 2014

The Great Ireland run for 2014 will be on Sunday 6th April in the Phoenix Park. This is our major annual fundraiser and is the reason we don’t have to ask anyone to sell tickets, pack bags, do pub quizzes or any of the other fundraising events we would have to do if we didn’t organise this race. We need as many members and parents as possible out on the day. Certain jobs will be pre-allocated and lots more will be allocated on the day. The important thing is to have bodies on site to do jobs as they arise. Date for your diary April 6th.

Dublin Indoors final day results

The finals of some of the 600’s and 800’s completed the Dublin indoor track programme in Santry today. Our best finisher on the day was Ella Mae Cromie in the under 14 girls 800m where she came a fine 4th. Dora battled hard in the wind and was 7th. Caoimhe Bresnan was 7th in the under 13 600m and Katie Hanna was 6th in the under 15 800m.
In the field events we had a impressive gold medallist in the under 14 high jump where Emily Corocran jumped a pb of 1m41cm and qualified for the All Irelands in Athlone in March. Others to jump, some for the first time in a competition were Aoibh Collins, Cillian Corcoran, Finn Kilbride Conlon, Faolain Murphy, Gillian Murphy, Clare Murphy, Emily Murphy, Nora Redmond, Ben Quinn, Dora Medgyesy. Well done to all.
