Sat 9th April Great Ireland run in the Phoenix park. Stewards and helpers are needed to be in place for 8am. Thank you all so much in advance.

All our younger athletes are to go to
Tallaght athletic club track on the Green hills road did their first outdoor competition. No pre entry , you just turn up on the day, pay 3 euro for your entry and compete in any event in your age group. This is where you learn how to compete and build up your confidence.

Tue 12th April HITW 10.30 everyone

Thur 14th April HITW 10.30 everyone

There will be training in Grangegorman on Tuesday night at 7 for the older middle distance group only. 2004and older only if they can’t make the morning session.

Great news overnight from the US that Sean Donoghue finished 3rd in a 1500m race in a very fast 3min 47 just outside his personal best. Sean is on an athletic scholarship in Villanova university and has been sidelined for many months due to a niggling injury. He has done weeks of rehab and just recently got back into solid training so this result is great news.Well done Sean.

Big congratulations to Martha,Alice, Goda and Aimee our under 15 relay team on making the final in the National indoors in Athlone today. The girls ran a fantastic heat and were the only Dublin team to make the final. With two of our girls being under 14 the final was always going to be a tough one. They ran a second faster but finished 6th. Great experience gained and they all should be very proud of themselves. Huge thanks to all the parents for looking after the girls today.

The club will be looking for support from all members next Saturday, the 9th of April to assist in the running of the race. If Mary has not been in touch please give her a call to see where\when you can lend a hand.
