This week we have athletes competing in the West Leinster schools in Santry on Tue and Thur. Best of luck to all.

A huge thank you to all the athletes, parents (past and present), friends and supporters who came out today in awful conditions to assist us in the organisation of the Great Ireland run. Without your help a miserable day would have been much more miserable. Your good humour and hard work was noted by many taking part. Thanks.

Club athletes won 3 silver medals this weekend at the intervarsity championships in Belfast. Muireann McGinley came 2nd in the pole vault, Daire Finn 2nd in men’s 1500 and Cliona Murphy was 2nd in the womens 1500m with an outdoor pb. Well done everyone.

Sat 14th Apr. All sprints group plus athlete born in 2002 and older national indoor arena for 10 to warm up. Bring 2 euro.

Sat 14th Apr. League 1 for all younger athletes in Santry. See earlier post for details.

Sun 15th Apr. Great Ireland run in Phoenix park. We need helpers and if you haven’t got a call or been given a time please come to tented area on main road for 9.30. We are a bit short due to intervarsities so please do your best to bring a friend or 3. This is our annual payday and saves us from selling tickets and packing shopping in supermarkets. Thank you.

No club training on Sunday due to great Ireland run. Best of luck this weekend at the intervarsities to Cliona, Daire, Ellen, Aoife, Annraoi and Evan.
