The junior, senior and masters Leinster indoors were held in Abbott’stown today. Chloe Corcoran was first into action finishing 4th in the junior 60m and later on in the day she finished 4th in the 200m final.

Alison Burke won the 60m hurdles in a very tight race and got herself a nice pb of 9.04. Emily Corcoran meanwhile came 2nd in the junior high jump.

In the 1500m races Dora ran a very good race finishing 3rd in the junior race. Clare and Niamh both ran well in the senior race but missed out on medals on this occasion.

Edel came 3rd in her age group in the masters 800m, Aoife ran well in the senior 800,Sara Byrne, Ella Mae and Sara Jane all ran well in the junior 800m.
To complete a long day Caoimhe had a great run in the junior 400 and was delighted to break 60 secs for the first time. Well done everyone.

Sat 24th Feb Leinster indoors. See earlier post. Operation transformation running the park at 10. Baggage helpers needed over at start/finish area for 8.45.

Sat 24th Feb sprint group members not involved in Leinsters Santry 10.30 for training.

Sun 25th Feb Hole in the wall 11am everyone. Bring spikes in case we need them.

Tue 27th Feb National indoor arena 7.15 assembly.

Wed 28th Feb high jump in the hall 6pm

Thur 1st Mar gym group 7pm
St John Bosco hall 7pm everyone else

Inter girls team from st Dominics at Leinster schools

We had 12 athletes racing today in Santry for their secondary schools in the Leinster cross country championships. Our junior girls have had better days and were very disappointed not to qualify for the Nationals. Better days ahead! In the junior boys Joe Fogarty ran very well finishing 8th and qualified for the all Ireland’s.
Our intermediate girls ran well with Dora in 10th, Clare racing back into good form and Sara and Cliodhna giving good back up to narrowly miss out on 2nd team. With Gillian hopefully recovered from her flu the Nationals should be a good race for this team in two weeks time.
Sean ran a super race in the inter boys finishing 3rd and very close to 2nd. He still has another year in this age group so this was a great result. Well done everyone.
