Medals all round!

We had 6 athletes competing tonight at the Dublin 1500m championships in Tallaght. Joseph Fogarty was our first into action in the under 14 boys race. Despite limited experience on the track Joseph ran a perfect race and is now a Dublin champion! Sean Donoghue followed in the under 16 race with an equally impressive win. Dora came a very good 2nd in the under 17 race with Emily Murphy (on a break from junior cert exams) a fine 3rd. Abbey Corr gave it her all coming 2nd in the under 18 race. Sara Jane Brennan combined her leaving cert with winning the under 19 girls race, her first Dublin medal of any kind and her last juvenile track race! Great running everyone. Now back to the books Emily and Sara Jane 👍

Dublin championships day 2

A very windy Tallaght stadium greeted our athletes for day 2 of the Dublins. Alison Burke was first on track and she battled the strong winds to win the 400m hurdles in a new personal best time. Emily Corcoran also had a row with the wind while winning the high jump! Niamh o Connor and Aoife Corcoran ran well in the 600m final under 12, Alex Corr and Clare o Connor gave it everything in a tough 800m final under 14. Oisin made the under 12 semi final of the 60m, Aontoneitte and Ashley made their sprint finals, Chloe came a good 2nd in the under 17 sprint final. Well done everyone!
