Save the date 😁 Great Ireland Run

Our club fundraiser will be held on April 9th in the Phoenix Park. We will need an army of helpers on the day. The timetable and programme is on greatirelandrun.org. If any of our younger athletes would like to race on the day please register online asap. Further updates later.

All Ireland schools in Mallusk

Sean Donoghue was in a class of his own today in Mallusk. A heavy fall and a lost shoe were not going to deny him a win on a very mucky, tough course. This was probably Sean’s best performance to date and he made it look easy, completely composed and perfectly positioned throughout. Great run! Sean now gets to represent Ireland at the school’s international in Wales in two weeks time. Another Irish international for our club. Well done Sean!

Our minor girls found the going very tough and we’re well down on their Leinster performances but they ran their best on the day and all recovered quickly. Clare Murphy ran well up to form in the junior race but might have run a bit too fast early on and paid for it later in the race. Well done to everyone and this brings cross country to an end for all except Sean who has two more weeks to go. Thanks to all the parents who drove and supported today.

Parkside Schools Cross Country 2017

A big thank you to all our helpers who contributed to the smooth running of our annual Parkside Cross country in the Bogies today. Thanks to Hilary, Edel, Bianca, Dave, Threase, Tina, Paul, Fiona, Rhona, Susan, Catherine, Mary Gavin and apologies if we have forgotten anyone. You did a great job!

Our young athletes also did a great job today starting with the the 2007 age group. Lola came 6th , Lily Farrell a fine 4th, Niamh Bergin a very good 2nd and a very impressive winner in Shona Gogarty. In the 2006 girls age group Niamh O Connor finished a fine 4th, Finn Mc Auley had a great run finishing 2nd in boys 2006 race and Oisin Gavin finished a very happy 4th. Our 2005 crew were in good form as well with Lia Butler Lynch finishing 6th and Keelin Collins winning in fine style. The 2005 boys was won very well by James Mc Manus. Clare O Connor was an impressive winner of the final girls race in her last outing over cross country for her school with Jana Mohieden a very good 5th today. In the last race of the day Joe Fogarty won impressively with Richie O Driscoll in 4th place.

Great running all round and the weather good was on our side as well. 😀
