Thank you to all the athletes who took part in the leagues and represented the club in the Championships so far this cross country season. A huge thank you to the parents who brought the athletes to the races and those who helped out especially Cathy, Pauline, Teresa, Jane and Brian.

Our under 13 girls team of Chloe, Ella Mae, Dora, Emily Murphy, Caoimhe and Anna will represent us in Waterford. Alison Armstrong and Pierre will run under 17 for Dublin and Cliona Murphy will represent Dublin in the under 19 race. The under 11 girls team have qualified but we don’t sent under 11 athletes to National. See some photos below taken by Corinne Murchan.

The team finished 2nd overall and the top six are going to the National in Waterford on the 15th of Dec. Great runs from all the girls especially Chloe and Ella Mae.

Under 15 boys
Finn Burke Power ran a great race to finish 8th overall. Finn was our only competitior in this event even though we had a full team entered. It costs the club money to enter teams in these events and its not fair on team members or the club in general when athletes dont turn up for championship races. We also had no shows in the girls under 15 and boys under 17.

Cliona Murphy had her best run this season finishing 3rd in the girls under 19 race.

Sun Dec 1st Dub championships  in Tymon Park. See team lists on earlier post. Timetable and Maps will be on separate post. All under 9/11/13 athletes should be on the course at 10.15 at the latest to ensure we have enough time to walk the various courses without being under pressure for time. Older athletes can come a little later. Best of luck to all.

There are three car parks in Tymon Park where we will be racing on Sunday. In order to be in time to meet up and walk the course, those athletes who are competing need to be in the car parks before 10 o’ clock as they fill up quickly. We will meet at the finish funnel before walking the course. Maps and details of course below.

The following are our entries for the above championships. Everyone listed below is expected to represent the club. The first 4 across the line score for the teams so anywhere we only have 4 runners its very important to turn out.

Club HoodiesCommunity Credit Union have very kindly sponsored a new club hoodie for our members. Only members who represent the club in competitions can get a club hoodie. They are not to be worn to training except at the weekend where they can be seen if they are left behind. When you pick up your hoodie please put your name on it. Hoodies will be 10 euro each. We will be dealing with the bigger sizes first and will do the younger ones this weekend at training in order that we all look wonderful for the Dublin uneven age champs on Dec1st in Tymon Park!
