The following children will be competing at the Dublin Community Games this saturday. We still have some gaps to fill and hope to do so later. Please note the times given and please bring refreshments, warm and spare gear. Community games are a marathon affair!

Despite the wet conditions the club had a very happy night in Santry for the Graded and Dublin Senior championships. First into action was Catherine Mc Manus and she had a great run in the 100m and was beaten by 1/100 of a second into 2nd place.
Danny had a fine run in the 400m ( no official times for some of our runners as computer broke down, will be up on Dublinathletics.com). Pierre ran 2.01.75 in the 800m which was a new pb by over 3 seconds, Clare Brennan and Niamh Donnelly ran great new pbs in the womens 800m with Aislinn Moorehouse, Heather and Cliona close behind.

Results

The Dublin Community Games will be held this weekend in Santry starting on Saturday morning at 10.30. Programme will be given out at training during the week. All trophies won last year are to be returned cleaned and engraved to the Dublin Community games office in Carmichael House or brought to Santry next Saturday.

We had Billy and Ben in action in the first half of the day in the finals of the 600m and 800. Both competed well but didnt feature in the medals. In the sprints we had Sophie, Chloe and Alison in the girls and James in the boys and what a day for our Sprinters! Sophie won the under 12 60m gold, Chloe won the under 13 girls gold, Alison won the under 14 girls gold and James came 3rd in the under 15 100m. Alison also came 2nd in the long jump.Nice one gang!
