Additional National indoor results
Well done to James Scanlon who jumped a pb of 1.50 at the National Indoors in Athlone at the weekend (overlooked in original post sorry James), Alison Burke also enjoyed her first trip to Athlone jumping 1.30 in the girls under 14 high jump which was won in an amazing 1m.62!

National Indoors day 2

Day 2 kicked off for us with the 800m races. Cliona Murphy was first into action and she finished 4th in a straight final and was probably feeling the effects of her great 1500m run late on Saturday evening. Eoin Kavanagh and Danny found the pace a bit hot for them in their heats and Dylan made the final of his 800m. After a very long wait the final was run at 6pm and he ran really well for 3 laps and faded over the last lap. Dara Finn was having his first taste of indoor running and ran well in his heat finishing 4th but didnt progress to the final. Chloe Corcoran jumped really well finishing first Dublin athlete and cleared 1m.35 finishing 5th overall, with 3 athletes locked on 1.35 just outside the medals. Alex finished 5th in the under 18 boys high jump.

Results update

At the National Indoors on Day 1 in AIT Sophie English came 4th in the final of the 60m under 12. This was a great run from Sophie and she was the first Dublin athlete on the day. In the 1500m under 18 Cliona Murphy ran a great new personal best of 5mins 4 sec coming 5th and knocking a huge chunk from her previous best time. For furthur results see Athletics Ireland website. At the schools international cross country in Wales Pierre came 12th overall and was 2nd Irish athlete on the day. This was a great result as he was ranked 4th on the team going in and was running 6k for the first time. Well done to all!
