Alison Armstrong qualified in the inter girls race finishing 6th overall. Well done to everyone.
Catherine McManus opened her indoor season with a 2nd place in the Hurdles and her 3rd fastest time ever over the 60m sprint in Glasgow on Saturday and yes! that was her at training in the park on Sunday morning. This weekend Catherine is off to London to the Lee Valley indoor games competing on Saturday and Sunday.
Pierre Murchan made his international debut in Wales on Sunday competing against athletes from Scotland, Wales and Ulster. The race was run on a flat course under several inches of snow, with paths through forests and lots of muddy patches. Pierre had a fine run finishing 4th in his race just inches behind another Irish athlete, over 5.6km. The Irish lads won the team event from Scotland. Great Stuff!
