Lusk cross country

Lucky for us the rain took a temporary break for the first outing of the cross country season this morning in Lusk. As usual the hosts Lusk AC had laid out a very nice , simple and enjoyable course.

First into action was Rachel with a brave run in her first ever race in the 400m under 9.
Next up we had very good runs from Evie, Cara, Ellie ,Aisling and Amy in the under 11 girls and Canice , Edward, Senan and Alex in the boys under 11.

Juliette , Ellen and Victor were impressive in the under 12 races. Our under 13 girls are showing the results of a year or two of training with Amelia, Freya, Lelia, Lauren and Robyn running very well, not forgetting Emma who was competing for the first time after only starting training two weeks ago! Eoin gave it everything in the boys race.

Maggie, Jessica, Maisy and a much improved Freya, Tom and Daire all ran strongly in the under 14 races.
Megan, Jessica and Hugh had good runs in the under 15 , with Erin , Aoibhinn and Ava all running well under 16. Lily was our only runner in the older age groups today and she ran well despite just coming back after catching the dreaded return to school bug!!
Well done everyone, thank you to all the parents who brought and supported the children today.
