Day 1 of the Dublin Community Games finals got off to a damp start in Santry but thankfully it cleared up early. In the under 8 sprints little Ellen O’Rourke in her first race ever ran a great heat and qualifed for the final coming 4th in her semi final. Well done to Conor Moore, Freya Kelly, Ben O ‘Rourke and Emily Harrold all running their first race as well with Conor making the semi finals and still under 8 again next year.
In the under 10 100m and 200m races Keelan was running well out of her age group, Shauna and Con were also running their first races, Kate made the semi final of the 100m narrowly missing the final and Tom ran a strong second half of his 200m finishing 4th.
