We had some of our older athletes in action last weekend at the Irish Intervarsity championships in Athlone. Alison Burke had a busy day coming 3rd in the 60m hurdles in a new PB. She also did the multi events, shot, long jump, high jump and 800m finishing a fine 2nd overall gaining valuable points for DCU. Pierre continues his return to form.with a very good run in 5th place over 1500m. Daire Finn finished a strong 2nd in the 3k and Muireann McGinley was 5th in the pole vault. In Germany Cliona Murphy came 2nd for her college in the 3k at the German University indoors championships. Well done everyone.
