Great irl run Sunday 13th April
Some of our older athletes have been competing in the Leinster juvenile championship and the National juveniles in Athlone over the last two weekends. Alice, Martha, Aimee and Niamh ran and long jumped well in the Leinsters and gained valuable experience.
Rion made the final of a very competitive under 14 60m hurdles in the nationals and ran a new pb. Martha unfortunately false started in her hurdles on Saturday and she wasn’t far off her seasons best in the 60m on Sunday.
Hector just narrowly missed out on a medal in the high under 14, Jessica and Pearl both ran well in their 1500 and 800m races.
Aimee and Niamh ran well in their 400m races and Alice competed well in the under 17 long jump.
Aoife was our sole medal winner coming away with a bronze medal in the under 18 pole vault. Sean was competing in his first national and did really well with a pb in his heat, qualified for the final and ran another pb coming 7th overall. Well done to everyone and thank you to the parents for the support.
