National junior/u23 in Tullamore

Emily Corcoran returned to good jumping form today taking a silver medal in the National junior high jump. Emily had been stuck on 1.55 to 1.60 on her last few outings and was delighted with her 1.65 today and narrowly missed 1.68. Next time Emily! Alison Burke was very happy with her bronze in the 100m hurdles and she also finished 5th in the 400m hurdles earlier.
Pierre got trapped on the inside in a very slow 1500m and wasn’t helped by incorrect lap counter and no bell to indicate last lap which led to confusion for a lot of the runners in his race. In the junior womens race Fian o Sullivan finished 3rd also in a tactical race. Well done to everyone.
Anyone racing in graded on Wednesday should register online by 1pm on the day.

Clare Brennan came a good 2nd over 1500m, Emily Murphy and Sara Jane Brennan also ran the 1500. Caoimhe Lynam had a great run in the 400m was delighted with a big personal best and went under 60 secs for the first time. Catherine Mc Manus ran a 400m from lane 8 and won convincingly just outside her personal best. Well done everyone!
