Bronze day in Tullamore!
It was bronze all round for our medal winners in Tullamore at day 1 of the National juveniles. Alison Burke led the charge winning bronze in the 100m hurdles under 18. Next up was the 800m races and Sean Donoghue got his 800m career at Nationals off to a good start with an impressive 3rd just outside his pb and inches off 2nd place. Daire Finn had a tough day with 2 heats in the under 19 boys 800 but he qualified comfortably for the final. Less than an hour later he lined up for the final and ran a great race powering over the last 150m to snatch a well deserved bronze medal.
Others competing today were Clare o.Connor and Golden in the high jump under 14, Golden also did the hurdles Niamh o Connor and Fiona in the under 12 high jump, Emily Murphy in the 800m under 17. Lots of experience gained today. Well done everyone!
