Leinster schools Day 1 update

We had a busy day in Santry today, events are all finals so they come around very fast. First on track was Alison Burke and she ran a great race finishing 2nd in the senior 100m hurdles, Alex Corr, Sara Byrne and Clare Murphy ran in the 1100m, 800m and 1500m in very competitive races. Aontoniette had a great run finishing 2nd in the minor 500m and Antonia had a good run in the minor 100m. Dora got trapped on the inside for much of her mile and had to work really hard on the last lap but still managed to get up to 4th place with Laura May also having a good run. Our star performer today was Sean Donoghue who ran a perfectly timed race to win the junior boys 1500m. St Dominics girls had a team in the under 16 relay finishing 4th. Well done to all and thanks to Ian, Dave and Anne for helping out. To Fiona, Jane and Ken for their support. Leinsters Day 2 on Saturday next.
