Libby Peppard finished 10th, Caoimhe Bresnan 13th and Eimer Murphy 30th all running well in a field of over 130 runners. In the junior girls race Emily Murphy ran a great race to finish 9th and led her team from St Dominics to 3rd place overall. Katie Hanna was 21st and Abbey Corr ran her best race ever finishing a fine 25th. Alison Armstrong ran strongly in the senior girls race finishing 4th. Well done to all.

New years day 5k

Our older athletes started off the new year very smartly when our women’s team won the team event at the Tom Brennan memorial 5k road race on Jan 1st in the phoenix park by a single point. Niamh Donnelly led the team in 62nd place, Clare Brennan in 79th, Aislinn Moorehouse 88th, Sinead Cronin 107th, Aoife ni bhroin 109 and Edel McNamara 146th. Sean Morley finished 57 overall. Fiona Byrne was 2nd in the f 50 age group and Sean Morley was 3rd in the men’s f50. Niamh Donnelly was 5th overall in the women’s race. Not a bad start to 2015. Keep it up!!.
