At the West Leinster in the Phoenix Park we had 2 fine winners in the boys races with Finn Burke Power and Pierre Murchan both running very impressively, with Finn winning the junior race and Pierre the senior. . Ben Quinn came 9th in his first race after a long lay off with injury in a very solid run in the inter boys race, Christopher Clarke came 15th which was a good result for him. Annraoi finished 35th in the inter race. We also had Michael Hanley, Danny Byrne Crowley and Evan in action and they all ran well. Well done and best wishes to the qualifers for the Leinsters in 2 weeks time.

Robyn Sykes Award
A big well done to Alison Armstrong who has been selected to receive the Robyn Sykes award for outstanding performance in 2013 by Athletics Ireland. This award is being made to Alison based on her outstanding performance at the Celtic International in August where she won the steeplechase for under 18 girls. The race had to be run twice on the day as they ran a lap short the first time and a re run was decided on by the track referee. This didnt faze Alison and she won both races.
The awards night will be Sat 8th Feb in the Tullamore Court hotel.
