The European Cross Country championships are being held in Poland this weekend. Ireland has a big group of athletes representing the country. All eyes will be on Fionnuala Britton as she attempts to retain her title as the reigning womens European cross country champion. Keep an eye on the T V guides to catch coverage of the races. Dublin Uneven age championships update
Good news and not so good news!
After a re check of the results our girls under 17 have now been placed 4th and the boys under 17 were 3rd team on countback! Well done to Pierre, Eoin, Evan, Annraoi and Michael. The 4th runner in made the difference between 3rd and 4th!
Cross country Season 2013 (almost over)
Thank you to all the athletes who took part in the leagues and represented the club in the Championships so far this cross country season. A huge thank you to the parents who brought the athletes to the races and those who helped out especially Cathy, Pauline, Teresa, Jane and Brian.
Our under 13 girls team of Chloe, Ella Mae, Dora, Emily Murphy, Caoimhe and Anna will represent us in Waterford. Alison Armstrong and Pierre will run under 17 for Dublin and Cliona Murphy will represent Dublin in the under 19 race. The under 11 girls team have qualified but we don’t sent under 11 athletes to National. See some photos below taken by Corinne Murchan.

Finn Burke Power ran a great race to finish 8th overall. Finn was our only competitior in this event even though we had a full team entered. It costs the club money to enter teams in these events and its not fair on team members or the club in general when athletes dont turn up for championship races. We also had no shows in the girls under 15 and boys under 17.

All under 9/11/13 athletes should be on the course at 10.15 at the latest to ensure we have enough time to walk the various courses without being under pressure for time.
