League 2

A strange experience running cross country in such warm conditions today in Tymon Park. Admittedly it was pleasant to be able to sit down on dry surfaces and not have to dash home straight after competing. Rachel got us under way in her second competition ever in the under 9 race and definitely improved in confidence this time round. In the under 11 race Evie, Cara, Ellie, Aisling and Amy all ran well.
In the under 12 races Juliette and Ellen ran well.
Amelia had a much better run this time round , with Freya, Lelia and Emma all running impressively. Eoin and Conor had good runs in the boys race.
Jessica,Maggie, Caroline, Maisy and Freya are looking like a nice under 14 squad, Daire and Tom did well in a tough boys under 14 race.
Megan, Abigail and Hugh ran well under 15, as did Erin and Aoibhinn under 16. Lily was our Lone Ranger under 17 and she too was much stronger this time out.
Well done to everyone who represented the club today. Thank you to the parents who brought the children and supported.

The novice women and men raced from 2pm and we were delighted that Clare ( first year novice) made a huge contribution to our winning women’s team. Christopher, Conor and Joe were on the men’s team which finished 3rd. The lads didn’t make the scoring four this year but have something to work towards for next year.

Clonliffe schools xcountry update

We had a big crew out today representing their primary and secondary schools in Trinity grounds today. Best of the primary schools athletes was Evie Barrett from MHOC who finished a brilliant 2nd in her race. Others who impressed today in the primary school races were Lauren, Cara, Ellie , Ide, Aisling, Eoin, Saoirse and Aoife.

The minor girls team from St Dominic’s are all club members and they won the team race, led by Jessica in 4th place with great support from Pearl, Saoirse Rogers, Caroline, Maisy and Emma. Tom had a good run scoring on his school team in the minor boys. Saoirse Bergin had a good run in the junior girls race, Goda had a very impressive win in the inter girls and led her team of Erin, Aoibhinn, Martha and Lama to a team gold.
Cliodhna Ryan won the senior race and st Dominic’s won the team race with Lily, Freya, Max, and Ava all running well.

Sorry if we have left someone out, please send text to
