There will be an inspection at 8am in the morning to confirm or otherwise whether the races are going ahead or not.

Athletes need to be on site 1 hour before race start time. Bring 3 euro cash for entry fee. Wrap
Up well and wear a hat.

League races are for everyone, these are the races where our young athletes get a chance to learn how to pace themselves. Suits beginners and experienced alike.

Sat 10th Dec HITW 10.30. Sprints group plus any of the older athletes not racing on Sunday. No track today as too icy. Note slightly later time to allow for frost.

Sun 11th Dec sprints group HITW at 11. Everyone else league 3 races in Tymon park. Will put all the details up later.

Tue 13th Dec NIA 7.15 assembly for sprints group and athletes born 2009 and younger. 4 euro fee, cash or Revolut to
Mary. 12 euro 3 or more in a family. Older athletes meet for 8pm ( slightly later than last week).
Thur 15th Dec Grangegorman at 7 everyone. Hats, long sleeves, warm tights needed outdoors.

The club highlight of the season, the Cake Race, will take place on Saturday 17th December 2023 at 10.00.

Due to the large numbers of participants expected we will have a junior race at 10.00 over 3km followed by the senior race at 10.15 over 5km. Both races will be on an open handicap basis which will be revealed on the morning of 17th December. Maps of both courses will be published on Wednesday December 14th.

All runners are asked to participate in a Kris Kindle with a value not greater than EURO 5, but no confectionery allowed be imaginative.

We are seeking bakers to provide cakes for the main prizes for both junior and senior races as follows:

1st Junior Girl, Fastest Junior Girl

1st Junior Boy, Fastest Junior Boy

1st Senior Woman, Fastest Senior Woman

1st Senior Man, Fastest Senior Man

There will also be some mystery prizes.
