Congrats and Well Done to our different squads who competed at the Jingle Bells road race on Saturday morning and the Nationals Novice All Ireland’s in Kilkenny yesterday.
Jingle Bells – the winning team of Cliona (16.36); Edel (17.17); Aoife (18.25); Christelle (18.38 & 1st Junior) and Silje (18.41). These were great times all round considering the cold and windy conditions!
National Novice XC – the team of Celine (7), Eimear (24), Aoife (41) and Aislinn (42) got the bronze by 1 point from Clonliffe Harriers with Letterkenny and Dunboyne taking 1st and 2nd respectively. Some of the squad were carrying colds into the race but all gave of their absolute best on very testing conditions underfoot in Gowran. Keeping our scoring 4 on their toes were Ellen (50), Sinead (60), Edel (106), Aoife D (116), Fiona (130) and Heather (137) – what an awesome turnout!
Well done to our senior women’s team on winning the team race in the Jingle Bells 5k road race today. Cliona Murphy finished in 4th overall and led her team of Edel Monaghsn, Aoife ni Bhroin, Silje and Crystal to first place. Crystal was also first in the junior race.
Best of luck to Evan, Celine, Ellen, Eimer, Aoife Corr, Aislinn, Edel and Fiona in the National novice in Kilkenny tomorrow.
