Emily selected for Celtic games! Great news today that Emily Corcoran has been selected for the irish team for the Celtic games in Scotland on the August bank holiday weekend. She joins a long list of club athletes who have represented Ireland in this competition. Well find Emily!!

We had a busy week starting with Cork city sports last Monday where Daire Finn ran a pb in the 3000m. On Wednesday night in Tallaght Edel ran a pb in the 1500m, Aislinn Moorehouse did a seasons best in her 1500, Ashley had a good run in her 400m as did Aoife ni Bhroin in her 1500m. Sean Donoghue had a solid run in the men’s A 1500m. Emily Corcoran equalled her seasons best with a very good clearance of 1m.65 in the high jump.
On Thursday night at a very exciting Morton games our under 15 relay team came 4th in the 16x 100m race. Daire Finn came 2nd in the junior mile, Niamh Donnelly ran well in the IMC 800m and Catherine Mc Manus ran a seasons best in the international 400m.

On Saturday in Scotland Sean Donoghue came 3rd in the 3000m at the schools international behind 2 strong English athletes.

On Sunday in Tullamore Emily Corcoran won the under 18 high jump and Gillian Murphy ran in the 1500m under 16. Well done to everyone.
National seniors this weekend in Santry!!

Congratulations to Emily Corcoran on winning the gold medal at the all Ireland under 18 high jump in Tullamore today. Emily easily cleared 1.63 to win and very narrowly missed 1.68 on two of her three attempts. Next outing for Emily will be national seniors in Santry next weekend.
