We had over 40 athletes representing the club last Sunday in the Phoenix park. Big improvements in confidence since league 1 especially from Hilary’s little people . Impressive wins for Dora, Sean and Joseph. Strong 2nd places from Caolan and Gillian with impressive running from Alex, Kacey, Ella Mae, Emily, Martha, Celine, Antonia and Antoneitte and Conor. Well done to everyone and thanks to all the parents who supported on the day.

The inaugural Dublin schools cross country championships for first and Second year students was held in the Phoenix Park today. Clare o Connor had her first outing for st Dominic’s and finished a fine 4th in a field of over 200 runners. Joseph Fogarty continued his fine form and showed what a talent he is with a very impressive win in the first year boys race in his first outing for st Declans.
In the second year race Alex Corr finished a very good 5th and led her st Dominic’s team to first place. The backup team of Kacey Tully, Kate Harrold, Caolan Gogarty all ran their socks off to win the first Dublin championship. Well done everyone
Thur 28th Sept , best of luck to some of our first and second year secondary school athletes who are competing at the inaugural Dublin schools cross country championships in the Phoenix Park starting at 11am . Course will be on what we know as the Cabbage Patch near the Popes Cross.
Thur 28th Sept Training for everyone else at 7pm SHARP at the Hole in the Wall. Wear white/high viz tops, flashing armbands!
Sat 30th Sept Hole in the Wall 10.30 all sprints group plus older middle distance group
Sun Oct 1st Cross country league 2. Phoenix Park. Athletes born in 2005 and younger meet at the Popes cross carpark at 10.15 sharp. Older athletes follow over to Magazine Hills area for 11am. We expect all athletes to represent the club on Sunday except those with genuine excuses not to be there. Please bring hoodies and tracksuit bottoms to wear after your event.
