League 3 in Tallaght

Summer finally arrived for our competition in Tallaght today. We had a good turnout of athletes and some very good performances. Our standout performers were Chloe Corcoran (under 16 400m and high jump), Sean Donoghue ( 1500m under 15) , Kacey Tully (600m under 13), Emily Corcoran (high jump under 16), Conor Murphy (600m under 14), LIly Farrell (500m under 10). Emily Murphy (1500 under 16). Aoife Evans (600m under 11) and Claire O’Connor. Well done to all.

Pierre hits standard for world juniors!

Pierre Murchan knocked 19 seconds off his previous best time over 3000m today in Belfast. He came 3rd in the A 3000m running 8mins 11 seconds which is a B standard for the world junior 5k. He needs to run inside 8mins 15 a second time to ensure qualification. Great running and he starts his first year college science exams on Tuesday. Well done and best of luck on Tuesday.

Finn Burke Power went to Leevale sports in cork and came a very good 2nd in the 400m running 51.33 which is just off his pb. Catherine McManus came 2nd in the hurdles and 5th in the 100. She whacked a few hurdles and got herself a nice big bruise on her knee and had to withdraw from.the 200m. Steffi Creaner came 5th in the 200m in her opening race of the season. Good times😊!
