Dora wins girls junior Great Ireland Run

What a proud day it was for Dora Medgyesy, her parents Eva and Peter and CelticDch as Dora ran away with the girls junior race in the Great Ireland run. She was right up there at the start and held her form all the way to record a very impressive win. Well done to Dora and to all the other young athletes who represented the club today. We hope to upload some photos later.

Great Ireland run

The biggest thank you to all the athletes, parents and friends who came out in huge numbers to help us out in the park today. With your support the whole days events ran off smoothly and we had no times when we were short of people to do the loads of little things that have to be done to make the day a success. THANKS☺

Great Ireland run

The meeting time and place for the younger athletes who are running on Sunday is the tented area on the main road of the Park at 11am. Any adults who are in the main pool of helpers and havent been allocated a job come to the same area for 11. Those who are going directly to the water station at the bottom of the Magazine Hills please aim to be there for 12.30. The younger gang will go down with Hilary after the junior races. Wrap up well. Its to be quite cold and no harm to bring some eats as hungry bellies can get very cranky☺. Please bring along a friend or three if you can as many hands make light work. Thank you. Stewards who know their time and spot go straight there if you have your jacket or come to tented area to collect on route.
