Pierre Murchan had a great win in the Tailteann games 1500m in Tullamore today. This was probably his best track race this year and he won it very impressively bagging himself a place on the Irish Schools team for the International against England, Scotland and Wales which will be held in Santry on the 20th of July! Next race for Pierre is the junior 1500m at the Cork City sports on Tuesday. Alison Armstrong ran her first 3000m on the track and finished 4th. Well done to both athletes.

In the B 1500m for women Alison Armstrong ran a pb and her best race in a long time. In the A race Clare Brennan and Niamh Donnelly ran really well and both girls got pbs. Michael Fitzpatrick won his heat of the 200m. Full results are on the Dublin athletics website.
Water Station Helpers Needed
On Saturday next the Dublin race series gets under way in the Phoenix Park with a five mile race. We have been asked to do the water station which is at the usual place over beside Marys HospitaL. If you are driving go to Chapelizod Gate and tell the stewards that you are going to the water station. Cycle over otherwise if you can and we need everyone there at 9.15 sharp. We should be cleaned up and gone by 11.45.
Donore Harriers Sports on Thursday night
We have been invited to the Donore Harriers Sports meeting on Thursday night which starts at 6.30. We need to try and get there for 6pm or as soon as possible after 6. Donore Harriers is at the Chapelizod gate of the Phoenix park.
