Sat 3rd June Dunboyne track 9.30 everyone. No organised training in the Phoenix park on Sunday.Best of luck to Goda in the mile under 16, Aimee , Erin and Martha in the junior relay, Clare, Lily, Goda and Cliodhna in the senior relay at the all Ireland schools in Tullamore on 3rd of June.

Tue 6th June HITW at 10.30
Older athletes who are free. Everyone else 7 pm at the HITW.

Wed 7th June Sprints group and those who get a text from the coaches, NIA meet at 7.15 pm. This will be athletes who are competing in field events at the Dublin championships next weekend and those who have already qualified for Nationals.

Thur 8th June HITW at10.30
Anyone who’s free. Everyone else 7pm at HITW.

Entries closing on Friday

We had a number of athletes competing at day 1 of the Dublin juvenile championships in Tallaght yesterday. Well done to everyone who represented the club and thank you to the parents who brought and supported their children .
In the under 12 age group Juliette and Ellen ran well in the 600m heats, Rion won the shot putt with an impressive new pb and came 2nd in the high jump where Ellen was 4th. Max finished 4th with a new pb in the shot putt.
Under 13s were represented by Amelia and Freya in the 600m heats both running very strongly.
In the under 14 age group Saoirse , Jessica, Pearl and Maggie competed in the 800m with Pearl and Maggie making the final, Daire and Tom ran well in the boys 800 and Daire made the final in the shot and javelin.
Alice finished 4th in the long jump under 15 and Martha finished 3rd in her first outing over over 250m hurdles. Hugh had a strong finish in the 800.
Goda was a fine 2nd in the under 16 800m, Lily ran a new pb in the under 17 800m and Cliodhna came 2nd in the 800 under 19. Well done everyone.

This Thursday night we are inviting anyone interested in competing in the Dublin Community games which are being held in Tallaght on Sunday 25th June to come along to our training session in the Phoenix park. We meet at 7 pm at the Hole in the wall carpark. We will hold trials if we have enough interest. We will be looking in particular for under 8 year olds for 60/80m sprints ( boys and girls) , under 10s, and boys under 12/14/16 for relay teams.
