Update from Athletics Ireland and Dublin Co Board.

National Individual and Inter-Provincial A Championships Even Ages

 

  • 21st/22nd November 2020
  • Venue: TBC
  • Entry Closing Date: 15th November 2020
  • Qualification: First 15 individuals from each Province
  • Medals: First 12 individual finishers.

               First 8 Provincial finishers to score, 15 medals for Provincial team

  • No direct entry, all entries must come through the Provincial Secretary
  • Athletes may move up one age group
  • This competition is subject to Government COVID19 Guidelines at the time of the event.

  • 5th/6th December 2020 A Championships Uneven Ages
  • Venue: TBC
  • Entry Closing Date: 29th November 2020
  • Qualification: First 15 individuals from each Province
  • Medals: First 12 individual finishers.

               First 8 Provincial finishers to score, 15 medals for Provincial team

  • No direct entry, all entries must come through the Provincial Secretary
  • Athletes may move up one age group
  • This competition is subject to Government COVID19 Guidelines at the time of the event.

 

 

National Inter-Club Championships

 

  • To be held in January/February in a Venue yet to be confirmed
  • Age groups: U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19
  • Qualification: First 3 Club teams (from 2020 Provincial competition, substitutions may be made), Teams of 5. This may be increased to 4 teams if government restrictions allow.
  • Team Medals: 4 to score, 5 team medals, no individual medals
  • No direct entry, all entries must come through the Provincial Secretary
  • Athletes may move up one age group
  • This competition is subject to Government COVID19 Guidelines at the time of the event.

As stated above qualification is through the Provincial Championships and as Dublin is a separate Province for Juvenile Competition the hosting of our Championships are dependent upon,

1)      Easing of restrictions/numbers permitted outdoors

2)      Approval of Venues by Local Authorities

3)      Subject to Government Guidelines at the time of the event.

1.       Provisional dates for our Championships are – Even Ages – Sunday 18th October & Uneven Ages Sunday 1st November. However, considering the closing dates for Nationals we might be in a position to move to a later date, if possible.
