National Novice Champions

Now that the muck has been washed off and we have all thawed out we can reflect on a great day for our women’s team in Dunboyne today.

Cliona Murphy continued her stellar season following up on her Jingle Bells win last weekend with an outstanding win today on a tough novice course. Cliona laid out her intentions early in the race and bursting with confidence pulled away to record a fine win, following in the footsteps of her aunt Frances Murphy DCH who won the national novice in Kilmacow back in the 80’s. The team of Susie Mc Manus 6th, Edel Monaghan and Aoife ni Bhroin ran their hearts out to win team gold for DCH
Our B team were led in by an inspired run from Aoife Corr backed up by Sinead, Aislinn, Ashling and Edel. Great running from all the team.
Thank you to all the supporters who cheered on the team, much appreciated by all. Great day!
