Brother Schools Cross Country 2018 Results

We had a big group out today in glorious weather competing for their schools at the annual ‘Brother races’ organised by Clonliffe Harriers. In the primary schools races Niamh o Connor and Shona Gogarty ran great and helped their team from MHOC to 3rd place. Oisin Gavin had a very good run in the 6th class boys race.

In the first year races Cliodhna Ryan Hazel Maguire and Conor Maleady ran very well, in the junior races Keelin Collins came an impressive 4th overall, Kacey and Clare finished in the top 10 with Aisling Keenan improving from race to race.

In the inter girls race Gill finished a fine 5th, Clare 7th , Caolan in her best race ever finished 10, Aoibh just behind her and Cliodhna not far behind in 20th place. The St Dominic’s girls were given joint first team with DGA.
Sean Donoghue easily won the inter boys race with Joseph Fogarty running well despite having a dodgy ankle, next in was Conor Murphy, followed by Ian and Cillian.
In the senior girls race Dora came 3rd and led her team of Celine who had a great run, Emily and Laura Maleady to first place. Sean Gleeson had his first race in a long time in the senior boys and good to see him racing. Hope we haven’t left anyone out. Great to see so many committed young people representing their schools and the club today. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who gave lifts and supported.
