Results update

On Monday last we had a number of athletes representing their primary schools at their sports in Santry. Great wins on the day from Aoibh Collins, Keelin Collins and Louise Hunt in their 600m races, James Mc Manus came 3rd in his 600, Alex Corr came 4th in her long jump. Well done to Julianne, Aoife, Niamh, Clare, Finn and Shona who were all competing up age groups.

On Wednesday night in Irishtown some of our oldies competed in the Graded meeting. Catherine Mc Manus and Caoimhe Lynam ran in the womens 400m, Caoimhe knocked nearly a second off her pb and is edging closer to the 60secs barrier, Catherine ran her first flat 400m and won her race with a new respect for 400m runners! Finn Burke Power continued his good form with a very good run in his 400m finishing 3rd.
Aoife Ni Bhroin, Cliona Murphy and Niamh Donnelly were very happy with their first 800m races of the season, all running close to their best times.

This weekend Finn, Caoimhe , Aoife and Niamh run in the AAI games in Santry, Catherine, Steffi and Pierre run in the IFAM meeting in Belgium, Cliona runs in Glasgow for the Irish Universities team in a match against the Scottish Universiteis. Best of luck to everyone.

League 4 Report

We had around 30 athletes in action at league 4 in Santry on Saturday. Thank you to all the parents who brought their children out and supported them. Thanks to Edel, Kim and Jane who looked after the gang.

Oisin Gavin had a great run in the 60m finishing 4th and later ran in the 400m, Keelin Collins was 3rd in her 500m, Clare, Kasey, Antonia, Julianne and Antoniette all ran well in their 60m and 600m. Niamh O Connor came 3rd in her long jump. Great to see so many of our under 14 and 15 group in action with Laura May, Aoibh, Sarah, Anna, SaraJane, and Celine all running in the 1000m races and Conor in the boys race. Dora and Sean won their 100m races, Emily Corcoran won her high jump and Chloe came 2nd in her 100m under 16.

Well done to all. The next outing will be the Dublin Championships on Friday 3rd of June.
