Road Novice and Senior Leagues update

Last Sunday our senior womens team competed in the Dublin Road Novice 5k race in Tallaght.. For most of our team this would be their last Dublin novice race as they have won the Cross country novice earlier in the season. Niamh Donnelly finished 3rd overall and led her team of Sinead Cronin 15th, Clare Brennan 17th, Aislinn Moorehouse 18th to yet another novice team gold medal!. Backup runners were Heather Lougheed , Aoife Ni Bhroin and Edel Mc Namara. Well done to the team and their very proud coach Dermot.

On Wednesday night, also in Tallaght the 2nd round of the Graded series took place. We had nine athletes in action on the night. Standout performance on the night was Pierre winning the 3k, other performances of note from Clare Brennan and Cliona Murphy in the womens 800m races and Daire Finn and Finn Burke Power getting their first experience of senior races in the mens 8oom. Well done to all,

What a day! Had to be the worst weather we have ever had on the track. Well done to the athletes who represented the club on a truly horrible day. Alison Burke won the sprint, long jump in a pb( that was indoors, lucky them ) and was a close 2nd in the 800m. Sean Donoghue, Chloe, Dora and Emily Murpny ran very well in their 800m races. Good running too from Christopher, Emily and Kate Harrold, Conor and Clare Murphy, Niamh and Clare O,Connor, Keelin Gogarty, Ben Casey, Emily Corcoran, Faoilain and Finn in their 800m.
