Pierre was 5th in the boys 1500m at the Schools international in Santry this afternoon. For most of the race he was in a good position and looked very comfortable but on the last lap the English athletes took off and the pace quickened considerably and he didnt have the legs to go with them. He finished in one of his best times ever and can be very proud of his season.

Catherine McManus finished 3rd in her race at the Birmingham games. Her time was just over 12 secs into a strong headwind.

Well done to Catherine won her heat in the 100m equalling her personal best on route to victory. Catherine went on to finish 7th in her semi final after a bad start. You can’t give those fast girls a head start!

Steph Creaner finished in sixth place in a very tough 200m heat against some of the fastest girls in Europe after a long wait around to race.

Great to see two Celtic DCH athletes representing Ireland at the European U23s – hopefully more to come in the future!
