Proud bronze medallist Joe

Senior women 6th team!

Results update from today in Abbott’stown. Joe Fogarty led the Dublin under 14 boys to inter county gold medals, Sean led his Dublin team to inter region bronze medals!!. Dora and Ella Mae ran well in the under 18 race and results are not complete yet as they ran with the juniors. Fian Sweeney who.is based in Birmingham but competes for us came 4th overall but 2nd in the junior race and is a possible for the European junior cross country (team will be confirmed tomorrow). Our senior women finished 6th team overall and it was great to see Deirdre, Niamh, Clare, Cliona (5th under 23) and Aislinn giving it every thing over a tough 8k course. Well done everyone.

Huge congratulations to Joe Fogarty on a terrific 3rd place in the National under 14 cross country championships in Abbott’stown today. Joe came 22nd last year and improved a lot this year. Sean Donoghue finished a fine 2nd place in the under 16 race over a tough 4k, coming from 4th over the last 500m. This is Sean’s 3rd year in a row to finish in the first 3 which is a great achievement. Well done lads!Further updates and pictures later.

Sat 25th Nov Hole in the wall 10.30 everyone including Hilarys group.

Sun 26th Nov Nationals day 1 in Abbott’stown. Starts at 11. If you want to watch a festival of cross country you have to go to Abbott’stown! Go early, car parking will be hectic. Best of luck to Joe (under 14), Sean (under 16), Dora, Ellen, Fian, Ella Mae junior/under 18. Niamh, Aoife, Aislinn, Sinead, Clare in the senior women.
Training for sprints group at 11 as usual at the hole in the wall. No training for Hilarys group today.
